Since 1975 the A.A.Dorodnitsyn Computing Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Computing Centre
of the USSR Academy of Sciences till 1991,
Computing Centre of RAS since 1991 till 2001) is editing the non-periodic collections of papers
"Research Problems of Stability and Stabilization of Motion". For many years the permanent Editor-in-Chief
of this edition was academician of RAS V.V.Rumyantsev (1921-2007)
22 issues have been edited till now. The papers on the theory of stability
and stabilization of motion (with numerous applications to dynamics of a rigid body and systems of bodies
with rigid, solid and liquid elements, to motion of a satellite, to the 3-body problem and etc.), on general and
analytical mechanics, on numerical research methods of stability and etc. were published in these issues. The authors of these papers
are employees of the sector TUMUS and also their colleagues from Moscow, Kiev, Tiflis, Paris, Wien and Warszawa. The students and
post-graduate students of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and of Moscow State Academy of
Instrument Making and Computer Science are also authors. Many of papers have been reviewed in Referative Journal "Mechanics" (USSR, Russia),
Mathematical Reviews (USA) and Zentralblatt fuer Mathematik (Germany).
The collections of papers are edited in Russian. But there is the survey
of the first 13 issues which has been published in two parts and written in Russian and English.
