About the International Conference on Applied Mathematics and Computer Science dedicated to Academician A.A. Dorodnicyn’s 100-th Birthday Anniversary

On December 2, 2010, the scientific society is celebrating 100-year birthday anniversary of academician Anatoly Dorodnicyn (1910-1994), who was one of the greatest scientists of XX century in scopes of geophysics, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, applied mathematics and computer science, whose achievements were widely recognized in the state and abroad and who was awarded by highest state awards. He founded the Computing Center of USSR Academy of Sciences and became its first managing director (as of 1955) and honorary director (as of 1989). The Computing center (currently of Russian Academy of Sciences) is holding an international Conference on Applied mathematics and Computer Science dedicated to this centenary celebration.

A substantial part of the presentations of Russian and foreign scientists on this conference would be aimed at original accomplishments in the fields marked by A.A.Dorodnicyn's fundamental contributions. The main themes of the presentations correspond to the following topics:

Mathematical Modeling in Natural Science
Computational Mathematics
Gas-Dynamics
Viscous Fluid Dynamics
Mathematical Physics
Optimization and Operations Research
Modeling of Social and Economic Processes
Intelligence Data Analysis and Pattern Recognition

The following sections are planned:

1. Continuum Mechanics.
2. Mathematical Physics and Computational Methods.
3. Mathematical Modeling in Natural Science.
4. Computer Science and Mathematical Modeling in Economics.

Plenary sessions and talks dedicated to the life and to the scientific, organizational and pedagogical activities of A.A.Dorodnicyn are, as well, being planned.

The conference is supported by the Presidium of Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The Conference is opening on December 7-th 2010 11:00 at the MI RAS' Conference hall (Gubkin st., 8, 9th floor). The Plenary seccion will take place on December 7th there. The registration of participants commences at the Conference hall lobby at 9:30. The conference sections meetings will take place at CC RAS, Vavilov st. 40, Moscow 119333, Russia on December from the 8th to the 10th of 2010. The organizing committee will assist the participants in accommodations upon request. The accommodations are to be paid by participants themselves.

The participation is free of charge. The conference abstracts are to be issued and distributed at the conference opening.
