 1950.
Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in
 1973
and the post-graduate courses at the Computing Centre, Academy of Sciences, USSR, in
1976.
Received a Candidate's degree (in Physical-Mathematical Sciences) in
 1977,
for the work "Optimization of multy-parametrical recognition models"
and Doctor's degree (in Physical-Mathematical Sciences) in
 1994
for the work "Optimal collective solutions in pattern recognition and classification".
At the Computing Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences since
 1976
as scientific researcher,
and
 now
as chief of a sector.
Member-correspondent of the Russian Akademy of Natural Sciences since
 1996.

    Member of the Editorial Board of the yearbook
"Raspoznavanie, Klassifikatsiya, Prognoz. Matematicheskie Metody i ikh "Primemenie"
(Recognition, Classification, Forecasting: Mathematical Methods and Their Application).
