Abstract
New information technologies like multimedia, virtual reality,
and GIS are enhanced within the framework of decision support systems
through the display
of graphic information, which allows rapid, integrated assessment
of a very large (or infinite) variety of possible decision strategies.
Moreover, new technique described in the paper helps decision makers
to select a small number of strategies and to subject them to further
detailed exploration and what-if analysis. The approach is based on the
FEASIBLE GOALS method.
and is exemplified
with the real-life DSS for water quality planning.
