The world is small and the Internet makes it even smaller. Why
not use the latter to talk to friends (and friends of your friends).
The only problem is that the netters are misantrops and never
have friends except the machines and other netters. Normal people
like us though do have friends and are glad to use the net for
good purposes.
So here are my friends (in alphabetical order, in order not to
offend anyone for they are all very sensitive - just like myself).
Friends
- Vitya Borisov - my
roommate in Dolgoprudny, ever been cool like that, now living
in Manhattan Island. Was fond of roller blades in Dolgopa where
everyone laughed at him. Zato now he is in a roller's paradise.
- Sasha Chernov -
still working together at the Computing Center.
- Phil Foth - an old
preference partner of mine, always accompanied by clouds of smoke
and smell of alcohol. Then Phil has managed to marry of of the
few phystech girls Tanya Blinova and quit smoking, drinking and
even playing cards. He is studying math in Penn State and looking
forward to a couple of warm words from old friends.
- Dima Gorodnichy -
an old friend of mine, have played football and guitar in Kiev
and Dolgoprudny together. Now he is in Canada and has got his
own homepage.
- Dima Gusev - my fellow
student with whom we have shared many ambitious projects including
very secret ones Now in Moscow but you
never know.
- Sebastian Kamyshenko -
for an extravagant haircut he has been awarded the nickname of
Yozhik (Hedgehog) which he exchanged for Sebastian few years ago.
Plays preference, smokes, drinks much coffee and even something
else. Presently in Silicon Valley but you never know.
- Sergey Kozyrenko - a
closest classmate since Kiev time, played football and table-tennis,
shared opinions on girls and sometimes even girls themselves.
Now lives in NY. Just married :(
- Kirill Levin -
my roommate in Dolgoprudny, my eternal friend and rival, now living
double life in Kiev and New York, evidently preferring Manhattan
to Darnitsa.
- Max Loukianov - one
more phystech guy in Pittsburg. Looks like this Pittsburg is quite
a metropolis, isn't it?
- Serega Nikolaev
- an old phystech friend of mine. Now is managing software projects
and teaching me how to drive on the wild Moscow roads.
- Misha Nebozhin -
studied together in Kiev, usually referred to as Kroshka Nebozhin
for being ever too tall, now in UPenn, the city of Philadelphia
where some black people are taller yet.
- Sasha Mikheev -
the famous Trudolyub (the Hardworker) whose agricultural motto
'the carrot is small and dirty - why to gather it' we'll never
forget, now after the Technion he has been suffered for his pacifist
views but survived and is working in Israel.
- Jimmy Protzenko -
the famous Atlet, most American and Californian person of our
Kiev class, even has got a greencard, works and studies Business
Economics.

play football instead, he now works in Kiev (doing rynketing for
a computer company) but still does speak English much better than
Ukrainian, just got married
- Mitya Stolyarov -
my fellow student, in the hard days of perestroika queing together
for beverages, now at UPenn, Philadelphia, the place where no
alcohol is sold after 9.30 pm. Introduced me to my girlfriend.
In case we get married he'll get a special prize. Life's so uncertain,
Mitya.
- Denis Storozhuk -
school mate and partner in hard programming days back in Dolgoprudny
dormitory. Has always preferred non-paper information technology
and eventually become a director of a company selling Finnish
paper in Kiev.

Lebedev's Physics Institute of RAS, one of the Svidzinsky Twins.
