Russian Federation visa application procedure

Initial visa application is prepared by organizing committee and handed in to authorities no yearlier than 45 days before
the trip. Ministry of internal affairs issues official invitation within 10 working days after application
(supposed to but we cannot count on that). This invitation is sent by organizing committee to participants.
Delivery may take up to 10 days as well. The invitation allows participants to obtain Russia visa in local Russian consulates.
It means that application data should be ready at mid-April.

The following information is neccesary for invitation:
1. Scan of the first page of a passport
2. Scientific degree and position
3. Affiliation with full postal address
4. The city where participant plans to obtain Russian visa
4. For accompanying family members: copy of certificate of marriage or birth-certificate for children

Please send all these data as soon as possible to avoid delays!
