6. Research and Publications:
During a period from 1968 to 1975, the major scientific activities and
results were in the field of discrete optimal control problems, dynamical
programming theory, and duality theory. There was obtained a discrete
maximum principle for optimal control problems with phase constraints; a
numerical algorithm based on the penalty functions method was elaborated
for solving optimal control problems with "maximin" objective functional.
At present, the sphere of major scientific interests is in the
mathematical theory of operations research, mathematical modelling of
development of network flow systems and multicriterial optimization.
The results obtained were applied for power and telekommunication networks.
