The CSMPA computing resources are based on the heterogeneous Ethernet network. The kernel of this network is the cluster of 6 Pentium II workstations connected via the 6-port 100Mbps fast Ethernet switching hub (model CNet SH-600). In order to conduct international R&D projects CSMPA scientists have access to the Computing Center of the Nijmegen University (Netherlands), 8-node SUN Enterprize 10000 and to the Maui High Performance Computing Center (USA), 400-node IBM SP.

CSMPA researchers have extensive experiences in software development for the following high performance computing platforms:

• SGI/Cray: Cray YMP C90, Cray T3D, Cray T3E, SGI Origin 2000,
• IBM: IBM SP2, IBM RS/6000,
• HP/Convex: HP Exemplar 9000 V class,
• SUN: SUN Enterprise 10000,
• MVS 100 (MVS 1000) distributed memory computing platform.
