Department on Mathematical Modeling in Ecology and Medicine

As a research institute of Russia leading in Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences, the Computing Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (CCRAS, for short) ought not drop out the most valuable issues of Life. Hence, the CCRAS has a Department on Mathematical Modeling in Ecology and Medicine (DMMEM, for short).

The Department has been established in 1978 under Prof. Yuri M. Svirezhev. Since 1990 until 2005 DMMEM was headed by Dr. Vsevolod V. Shakin, and it operated as an intrinsic part of the Division on Computational Forecasting Methods of the CCRAS, headed by Corresponding Member of RAS Konstantin V. Rudakov.
